BULLETIN #1 - Law & Crime Bargaining

Dear NABET-CWA/Law & Crime Member:

Your NABET-CWA Bargaining Committee met with management representatives of Law & Crime on November 15th, 2022 in person at the offices Local 11.  The parties are negotiating a first contract after a successful organization drive earlier this year.

The Union is represented in these negotiations by NABET-CWA Sector Vice President and Local 11 President Lou Marinaro, Local 11 General Counsel and Assistant to the President Max Sicherman, and Law & Crime bargaining unit members Jonah Garber, Tyler Butrica, and Nani Aguado-Foy.

The Union presented its initial comprehensive package of proposals and discussed the reasons for the proposals with management.  The Union’s proposals would cover a wide range of your terms and conditions of employment.  After consideration, the Parties reached tentative agreements on important issues such as a “No Discrimination” clause and Union Security.  Open issues include items such as wages, PTO, just cause, work schedule, and medical/401(k) benefits.

The parties plan to continue negotiations in December.  We will continue to update you on any future developments.

In solidarity,

NABET-CWA/Law & Crime Bargaining Committee
